Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Livestock Health Specialist to join our team at the Animal & Plant Health Agency. As a key member of our Technical Team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding animal health and welfare.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with farmers, veterinarians, and other stakeholders. They will also possess a strong understanding of disease control and surveillance principles, as well as experience with livestock handling and animal welfare.

With a salary of approximately £28,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on location, this is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about animal health and welfare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections and surveys to monitor animal health and detect potential disease outbreaks.
  • Collaborate with local farmers and veterinary surgeons to implement effective disease control measures.
  • Collect and analyze data on animal health trends and disease prevalence.
Requirements
