**About the Role:**
We are seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for effectively managing the monthly payroll process for all employees, including expat and pension payroll.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process all payroll activities for monthly payroll, including submissions to HMRC
- Authorise payroll payments and communicate with HM Customs and Revenue
- Evaluate and improve system processes
- Manage expat payroll and tax analysis
- Administer pension schemes, including auto-enrolment and life assurance
- Understand and apply statutory payments, including maternity, paternity, and sick pay
- Prepare and submit year-end documents, including P11D and P60
- Provide support to the Finance and HR departments as required
- Perform ad hoc duties as specified by the Head of Finance
Requirements:
- Good understanding of payroll procedures and rules
- Knowledge of year-end procedures
- Familiarity with benefits and salary deductions
- Strong multi-tasking abilities and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
