About the Role
The successful candidate will support the Radiation Protection Function for Rolls-Royce Submarines Ltd and Rolls Royce PLC, ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, and company requirements. This will involve assisting in the development of radiation and environmental protection policy, providing advice and guidance on ionising radiation hazards, and supporting business requirements including core manufacture.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement radiation and environmental protection policies and procedures.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on ionising radiation hazards and risks.
- Support business requirements including core manufacture, emergency arrangements, and radioactive waste management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development of training programs and materials.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Experience in radiation protection, health physics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of UK regulations and guidelines related to ionising radiation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
