Fraud Investigation Expert

We are seeking an experienced investigator to join our Commercial Investigations Team at Indesure Recruitment. This challenging role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

About the Job:

  • Investigate potentially fraudulent commercial property claims and gather evidence to support your findings.
  • Promote the team among colleagues and clients, building relationships and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Conduct and plan recorded telephone and video interviews to validate claims and gather information.
  • Manage your own caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines to ensure timely resolution of cases.
  • Liaise with third-party agencies, police, and external organizations to obtain necessary information and coordinate efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date on current legislation, insurance practices, and case law to provide expert advice and guidance.
  • Handle settlement enquiries, challenge fraudulent activities, and prepare detailed reports for insurers.
  • Issue repudiation and fraud outcome letters in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements and provide excellent customer service to policyholders and internal stakeholders.
  • Achieve operational targets and objectives as agreed with your line manager.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of insurance principles, including business interruption, and their application to commercial and property claims.
  • Current knowledge of case law, statutes, and legal liabilities relevant to the role.
  • Appreciation of building construction and its relevance to the investigation of commercial property claims.
  • Effective ability to secure, preserve, and record evidence.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Compliance with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and complaints handling procedures.
