Senior Solar Project Developer

We are seeking a Senior Solar Project Developer to join our dynamic team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of large-scale, greenfield solar and BESS projects in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identification and acquisition of potential development sites, including spatial analysis relating to network availability and environmental constraints
  • Negotiation and execution of land agreements with landowners and commercial land agencies
  • Coordination of the due diligence process on respective land rights
  • Management of the planning process, including selection and appointment of consultants, submission of necessary applications, and interaction with stakeholders
  • Management of grid connection process, including selection and appointment of grid consultants, submission of grid connection applications, and correspondence with the grid operator
  • Evaluation of project feasibility, based on key project parameters, and continuous optimisation of project performance
  • Development of an extended business network, comprising of necessary partners to support project development activity
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or similar; post graduate studies with a focus on renewable energies or project management will be considered a plus
  • Knowledge of the UK planning framework and prior experience in grid interconnection agreements or planning consenting
  • Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience in renewable energy project development, with a focus on large scale projects
  • Good understanding of solar technology and key parameters affecting project feasibility and performance
  • Friendly demeanour and ability to communicate efficiently with stakeholders
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products
