At Connected Voice, we are seeking a Senior Community Development Officer to lead our efforts in empowering older people to shape their city. This is a rare opportunity to join a small but highly impactful organization and work with older people to influence policy, improve services, and make Newcastle a truly age-friendly city.

The successful candidate will have significant experience working with and for older people from diverse communities and be able to balance our organization's rich 25-year legacy with fresh, forward-thinking ideas.

About the Role
  • Developing and overseeing innovative programmes and projects to empower older people.
  • Building and sustaining relationships with members, partners, and decision-makers.
  • Leading fundraising and member-recruitment efforts to secure the sustainability of the organization.
  • Advocating for the diverse needs and aspirations of older people in Newcastle.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
