Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth and expansion in our Oxfordshire, Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, and Hertfordshire regions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, sales, or a related field.

About the Role:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and driving growth within the company.
  • A key focus of this role will be increasing our presence in local markets, with one day per week dedicated to working from our Cambridge office.
Responsibilities:
  1. New Business Identification: Identify and nurture new business opportunities to generate leads.
  2. Lead Management: Manage and qualify inbound leads in your region.
  3. Market Monitoring: Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
  4. Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
  5. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic business development plans.
  6. Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing team to develop target lists.
  7. Networking: Attend networking events and meetings to build local profile of Coel.
  8. Reporting: Report on BD activities including contacts, meetings, leads.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a real team player.
  • Familiarity with local markets in Oxford, Milton Keynes, or surrounding areas.
  • Experience managing data and working with CRM systems, ideally HubSpot.
  • Knowledge of lead/contact management systems (e.g. LinkedIn sales navigator).
  • Construction/Fit-out experience would be an advantage but not essential.
