Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Executive Chef to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a key member of our culinary department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality food services to our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

About the Job

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef to take on a leadership role and work with a dynamic team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. You will have the chance to create nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced menus that cater to the diverse needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist the Head Chef in creating and implementing menu plans that meet the dietary requirements of our residents
  2. Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, stock control and food safety
  3. Supervise and motivate a team of chefs to deliver high-quality food services
  4. Work closely with the nursing team to understand resident preferences and tailor menus accordingly

Requirements

  • City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification in culinary arts
  • Experience in leading a team and managing kitchen operations
  • Good understanding of nutrition and menu planning
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a close-knit team

Salary and Benefits

Barchester Healthcare offers a competitive salary of £39,000-£43,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we offer a range of benefits, including:
