Kitchen Assistant Role Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Barchester Healthcare's care home in Ferndown.

About the Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our residents receive high-quality food and exceptional hospitality. You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals, as well as maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the preparation and cooking of nutritious meals for residents;
  2. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area;
  3. Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service delivery;
  4. Contribute to the development and implementation of new menu ideas and recipes;

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure. Previous experience in a commercial or care setting would be advantageous, but is not essential. What is crucial is your passion for delivering exceptional customer service and your commitment to upholding the highest standards of food safety and quality.
