Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Kingston Upon Thames

Job Type: Temporary

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and flexible individual to work within a Special Needs school in the Kingston upon Thames area. The school caters for students aged between years with profound multiple learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students during lesson time and social time
  • Help students with their schoolwork and achieve their individual goals
  • Deliver lifeskills lessons
  • Manage challenging behaviors and have patience to understand and support students
  • Have a basic knowledge of de-escalation and MAPA (Management of Actual & Potential Aggression)
  • Hold a safeguarding qualification or be willing to complete a course provided by our company
  • Have an Enhanced DBS on Update Service or be willing to apply for one through us
