About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Group ALM Manager to join our team at Legal & General. As a key member of our Group ALM function, you will play a critical role in overseeing the management of market risks across the L&G Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement risk management frameworks to safeguard the Group's strategic business plan against changes in market conditions.
  • Work closely with Business Units to understand their market risk exposures across SII, IFRS, and liquidity.
  • Recommending actions to the Head of Group ALM and senior stakeholders.
  • Support the development of Group ALM's data and system capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the 2nd line Group Risk Team to ensure consistency of understanding and challenge.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Actuary, Accountant, or investment professional with equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of SII, IFRS, liquidity risk management, and hedging instruments.
  • Strong programming capabilities in Python or R.
  • Experience in insurance and/or investment functions within a complex financial services environment.
  • Some experience of management and senior stakeholder communication is desirable.
