The Priory Hospital Preston is renowned for providing a supportive environment that focuses on patient recovery and well-being, catering to up to 38 individuals at any given time.
A multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals and support staff, comprising consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, and nurses, work together to ensure high-quality care.
We are seeking a part-time Consultant Psychiatrist to join our acute ward and provide cross-cover to other wards as needed, due to the hospital's expansion.
As a Responsible Clinician, you will oversee the process of referral and admission, including contributing to pre-admission assessments. This role plays a pivotal part in our multi-disciplinary team, ensuring patients receive person-centric care and treatment programs.
To be successful, you must hold a CCST/CCT or equivalent in relevant areas of psychiatry and possess experience working in inpatient settings with individuals facing significant mental health challenges.
With a strong background in consultant-level positions within the NHS, you will excel as an excellent team player, keen to participate in a multi-disciplinary approach to assessment, with a genuine interest in developing services within a forward-thinking transitional environment.
You will maintain a registration with the GMC, including being on the special register for psychiatry.
Salary: £120,000 - £180,000 per annum.
