Job Opportunity: Estates Maintenance Assistant

We have an opening for an Estates Maintenance Assistant to assist the Estates and Health and Safety Managers in providing an effective facilities and maintenance service across the South Hampshire College sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide building and site operations across mechanical and electrical systems and plant rooms.
  • Assist with Emergency Services, in evacuations, lock downs and with first aid.
  • Perform grounds maintenance duties.
  • Manual handling of college equipment and deliveries.
  • Provide site security.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer services.
  • Able to deal with challenging situations.
  • IT skills - MS Office and Outlook.
  • General DIY skills

Applicant Requirements:

  • Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Current driving license at Cat B and Cat D.
  • MIDAS trained (preferable but can be provided)

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to follow College procedures.
  • Team working.
  • A flexible and proactive attitude to work.
