Apprenticeship Assessor Coach

This is a part-time contract with 15 hours of work per week. Harrogate College is seeking an experienced assessor to support science apprentices in their journey to success. The college currently delivers Level 3 Pharmacy apprenticeships.
Key Responsibilities- Manage your own caseload, arrange site visits, and meet with employers to monitor progress and complete progress reviews.
- Liaise with employers and provide feedback on progress against the Apprenticeship knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
- Produce and monitor individual learning plans for learners and contribute to their updating.
- Lead, contribute, and participate in assessment and quality assurance procedures for all programmes and training provision, including internal verification.
- Contribute to the review and evaluation process to ensure year-on-year improvements.
- You must hold a specialist qualification in the curriculum subject area.
- You must be registered with the GPhC.
- You must possess A1 Assessor units or be willing to work towards them.
- You must have a Level 3 teaching qualification or be willing to complete one within a set timeframe.
- You must have previous experience of assessing and an understanding of the Apprenticeship Standards.
- You must have experience of teaching, training peers, or transferring skills to others.
- You must have substantial industry experience in a relevant occupational area.
- You must have an understanding and experience of current working practices within the occupational area.
- You must be able to give clear and constructive feedback to students to guide their learning.

We have recently been awarded £16m of government funding to transform our campus. The energy-efficient new building will include a workshop unit that provides large-scale facilities aligned to industry needs, including advanced manufacturing, low-carbon construction, retrofit, sustainable energy, and bioeconomy, health science, and hospitality. This will complement the college's existing tech centre, which is home to its motor vehicle, electrical, joinery, and welding workshops.
