Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team at Edwards & Pearce Limited. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing a solid, effective HR service across the site, aligning with both site and divisional objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the Site HR Team: Engage with, lead, and support the site HR team to ensure the day-to-day delivery of a professional and effective HR service.
  2. Support and Coach Managers: Support and coach managers on HR best practice and continually develop leadership abilities and self-awareness.
  3. Manage Employee Performance: Manage and develop employee performance, ensuring high standards are maintained.
  4. Ensure Legal Compliance: Ensure legal compliance is achieved across the site.
  5. Oversee Recruitment: Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring appropriate skills and experience are achieved through effective resourcing, talent management, and induction programs.
  6. Improve Employee Engagement: Look for ways to continually improve employee engagement, including employee wellbeing.
  7. Record Keeping: Ensure all records are up-to-date and accurate.
  8. HR Policy Implementation: Take ownership for the fair and consistent implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance.
  9. Training and Development: Act as budget holder for training and development.

Requirements:

  1. CIPD Level 5: Hold a CIPD level 5 qualification.
  2. HR Experience: Have at least 2 years' experience in a leading HR position managing an HR team with site responsibility.
  3. Leadership Skills: Possess excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  4. Stakeholder Management: Have excellent stakeholder management skills, confident in working as part of an operational site leadership team.
  5. Business Acumen: Have good business acumen and a real interest in site business and processes.
  6. Manufacturing Experience: Ideally experienced in a manufacturing environment (blue/white collar).
  7. HR Generalist: Have exposure to a broader HR role, getting involved in many key areas of HR.
  8. Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills at all levels and good emotional awareness.
  9. Problem-Solving Skills: Have good problem-solving skills, solution finder, and innovative thinker.
  10. KPI Experience: Experience in a KPI process-driven organisation, with experience of analysing data and uncovering trends.
  11. Team Player: A 'can do' attitude, ideas person, and problem solver - someone who brings energy to the team and is prepared to 'muck in'.
  12. Confidence and Articulation: Confident, engaging, articulate, excellent listener, and inspiring HR Manager.
