The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at our Asphalt Plant in Nunney, Frome. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to take the next step in their career and lead a team of operatives and a supervisor in a 24/5 manufacturing environment.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting health and safety, production output, and workforce availability. You will also have the opportunity to shape the way the plant is operated and make strategic decisions to drive growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of operatives and a supervisor in a 24/5 manufacturing environment
  • Support health and safety initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Manage production output and optimize plant performance
  • Oversee workforce availability and approve holidays and overtime
  • Make strategic decisions to drive growth and development
Requirements
  • Experience leading a team in a technical production environment
  • Strong health and safety knowledge and qualifications
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work across multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
