Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Village Chef to join our team at St Monica Trust. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day food and beverage provision for our village café, as well as catering for bespoke events and themes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Service Management: Oversee the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Catering for Events: Plan and execute catering for events, parties, and themes, taking into account customer preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of Hospitality Assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and a positive dining experience.
  • Inventory Management: Manage stock levels, ordering, and rotation, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular audits and implementing measures to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Customer Service: Engage with customers, responding to feedback and suggestions, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Diploma Level 2 in Food Production/Catering or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in food service management, team leadership, and inventory control.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, 22.5 hours per week, working every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with a 30-minute unpaid meal break. You will also receive a generous pension, access to a free gym and pool (where available), and a range of other benefits.
