Job Title: Senior Care Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Care Trainer to join our team in Cheshire West and Chester. As a Senior Care Trainer, you will play a key role in delivering our new Independent Travel Training Service, supporting adults and young people with disabilities and/or autism to travel independently across the borough.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the delivery of the Independent Travel Training Service, working closely with parents, carers, and support networks to ensure trainees receive the best possible support.
  • Deliver training and support to trainees, using effective action planning and assessments to achieve independent travel.
  • Line manage travel trainers, liaise with key stakeholders, and ensure quality assurance.
  • Develop and support the team to ensure work complies with the ITT framework.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in delivering training and support to adults and young people with disabilities and/or autism.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with parents, carers, and support networks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
  • Knowledge of the ITT framework and ability to develop and implement effective training programs.
