Strategic Lead for Alternative Provision and Inclusion

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Alternative Provision and Inclusion strategy, working closely with local authorities and schools to develop inclusive practice and reduce exclusions.
About the Role:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for Alternative Provision and Inclusion, aligning with local authority and school goals.
- Collaborate with SEND colleagues to support schools in commissioning quality alternative provision and developing LA commissioning arrangements.
- Embed inter-relational working practice between AP and other parts of the local system, including mainstream education, SEN and disability (SEND), early help and social care, and local health services.
- Provide expertise in the SEND Code of Practice, Alternative Provision, and the Area SEND Inspection Framework to support schools and local authorities.
Requirements:
- Local Authority experience is essential for this role.
- Previous experience within a similar SEND role is essential.
