Strategic Lead for Alternative Provision
**Role Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Alternative Provision strategy, working closely with schools and local authorities to develop inclusive practice and reduce exclusions.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Develop and implement inclusive practice, reducing exclusions and supporting vulnerable cohorts to access Alternative Provision within schools and beyond.
* Utilize expertise in the SEND Code of Practice, Alternative Provision, and the Area SEND Inspection Framework to inform strategy and decision-making.
* Embed inter-relational working practice between Alternative Provision and other parts of the local system, including mainstream education, SEN and disability (SEND), early help and social care, and local health services.
* Support schools to commission quality Alternative Provision and develop LA commissioning arrangements alongside SEND colleagues.
**Requirements**
* Local Authority experience is essential for this role.
* Previous experience within a similar SEND role is essential.
