Job Overview

Centre People is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Development Director to lead our UK office and drive business growth across the EU. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for expanding our presence in major global markets and building strong relationships with clients and partners.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary, depending on experience, plus benefits including working hours Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:30. This role requires working in the office 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the UK office and collaborate with the Senior Director based in the US to achieve business objectives.
  2. Lead a dynamic team of sales executives and assistant managers, ensuring effective communication and liaison with our Japan HQ and Senior Director.
  3. Oversee day-to-day business operations, including product development and distribution, to maintain our market position.
  4. Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the EU, leveraging your expertise in business development and client relationship management.
  5. Develop strategic plans to drive growth in major global markets and ensure continued success.
Requirements
  • At least 7 years of business experience in a corporate environment.
  • Totally fluent English and business-level Japanese (at least JLPT N2 level or higher).
  • Prior experience living/working in Japan is highly beneficial.
  • A personal interest in the Digital/Game/Entertainment industry is essential.
  • Strong sales/client management experience, along with leadership skills, are mandatory.
