Mobility Equipment Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mobility Equipment Engineer to join our team at Equals One Ltd in Surrey. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with us in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the highest standards of equipment maintenance.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering, collecting, repairing, and servicing wheelchairs across Surrey and Chessington areas. You will work closely with our customers, healthcare professionals, and internal teams to provide a first-class service experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and collect wheelchairs to and from service users' homes and NHS departments, adhering to our Infection Control Policy.
- Servicing and repairing wheelchairs in the field with the aim of achieving a first-time fix whenever possible.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and up-to-date, including parts used and actions taken on job cards.
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as instructed and maintain a tidy vehicle.
- Undertake out-of-hours responsibilities when rostered and prioritize workload efficiently.
- Maintain a professional customer service attitude, always wearing your uniform and identification badge.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified UK driving licence.
- Successful enhanced DBS check.
- General workshop knowledge and basic electrical understanding.
- Able to move and handle loads and equipment safely.
- Previous delivery driver experience and face-to-face customer contact skills.
- Flexible approach to working conditions and working environment change.

This role involves working in a variety of environments, including confined spaces, and requires the ability to stand, kneel, and crouch regularly. The post holder must also be willing to use ramps and other agreed moving equipment.
