Job Overview

This exciting opportunity is for a dedicated midwife to develop and support the Safeguarding agenda within our maternity services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Work with the Named Midwife for Safeguarding to ensure safeguarding processes are followed, providing high-quality care to families.
  • Collaborate with the maternity team and external agencies to participate in care planning and assessment of pregnant individuals and their families where safeguarding concerns exist.
  • Develop midwifery services to address the needs of clients with safeguarding issues, working closely with the Named Midwife for Safeguarding.
  • Deputise for the Named Midwife for Safeguarding when required.
  • Contribute to public health initiatives and projects, focusing on improving outcomes for pregnant individuals and their families with safeguarding and socially complex health concerns.
