Support Worker for Vulnerable Adults

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Support Worker for Vulnerable Adults at Wiltshire Council.

About the Role:

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to vulnerable adults, enabling them to live independently and maintain their dignity. You will work in a person-centred approach, focusing on the strengths, choices, assets, and goals of each individual.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with varying needs
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as shopping and household chores
  • Encourage and support individuals to participate in activities that promote their well-being and independence
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and other agencies to ensure comprehensive support
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to Wiltshire Council's policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Current knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with vulnerable adults
  • Willingness to undertake L2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults)
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Physical fitness to perform all aspects of the job role
  • Previous experience of building strong relationships and teamwork
