Job Title: Project Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join our team in Brighton, UK. As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting support to our Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme cost accounting and control
  • Analysing financial performance of the IPT and communicating results to key internal stakeholders
  • Providing project accounting and analysis of IPT financial performance, including Earned Value Management (EVM) if required
  • Performing revenue accounting and analysis
  • Performing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting based on inputs from IPT
  • Providing financial actuals to feed into IPT planning activities and providing input to pricing of IPT's products and services
  • Analysis of cost-saving opportunities and creating financial scenarios to support Work Package Leads and IPT Leader in making cost management decisions
  • Providing financial scenarios to IPT Planning & Control and IPT Leader to aid decision-making
  • Creating financial performance metrics in accordance with defined governance and IPT requirements
  • Confirming payments have been received into the organisation
  • Creating cost and pricing models to support generation of priced proposals/quotes in response to customer Requests for Proposal/Requests for Quote (RFP/RFQ)
  • Managing programme finances within company business systems, including bid costs and sales forecast data

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Project Finance role
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • EAC/ETC experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
