About the Role
We are seeking an Accountant to join our Group Finance Team, playing a crucial role in financial accounting and reporting processes. The successful candidate will assist in producing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as budget forecasting and ad hoc Group Finance projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the production of the monthly Group consolidated accounts.
- Review and challenge management accounts.
- Monthly reconciliation and review of balance sheet accounts.
- Support external and internal audits.
- Assist in producing annual reports and accounts.
- Provide KPI reporting with insightful analysis.
- Assist in consolidating and producing budgets and forecasts.
- Provide technical guidance to Group Companies.
- Support process efficiencies and improvements.
- Support Cognos improvements and upgrades projects.
- Support remediation of internal controls gaps.
- Contribute to updates of accounting policies and procedures.
About the Ideal Candidate
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Professional qualification in accounting (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
- Proven track record of improving and streamlining processes and policies.
- Previous experience in a group accounting team is preferable.
- Cognos experience is preferable.
- Strong technical accounting background (IFRS).
- Highly numerate and analytical.
- Confident and effective communicator.
- Effective organisational ability and time management skills.
