Careers and Employability Strategist

At ICMP, we are seeking a skilled Careers and Employability Strategist to lead our CEIAG provision, ensuring our excellent Graduate Outcomes are maintained.

This pivotal role will oversee the development of career opportunities, work-based learning, placements, and employability prospects for all students and alumni. As a key member of the College Management Team, you will collaborate closely with departments and academic colleagues to create industry-focused programs and curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement CEIAG plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Lead the delivery of careers and employability education, advice, and guidance to students and alumni.
  • Establish and maintain strong employer partnerships, fostering opportunities for students and graduates.
  • Design and implement widening participation activities, promoting diversity and inclusion in the creative industries.
  • Manage and motivate a team, providing feedback, planning workloads, and enabling professional development.
  • Develop services and processes to improve the design and delivery of careers education activities, prioritizing user needs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in careers education within higher or further education settings.
  • Knowledge of the creative industries, employment models, and portfolio careers.
  • Expert understanding of regulatory environments and metrics related to employability, progression, and Graduate Outcomes.
  • Sound understanding of the graduate and postgraduate labour market in the UK and internationally.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in relation to working with students, employers, and senior colleagues.
