Job Title: Theatre Course Director - Temporary Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Course Director to join our team at Burton and South Derbyshire College. As a key member of our academic staff, you will be responsible for leading and managing our Musical Theatre course.

This is a part-time position, based at our Town Centre Campus in Burton upon Trent. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals and contribute to the development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead and manage the delivery of our Musical Theatre course, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning experiences for our students.
  • To develop and implement innovative curriculum designs, reflecting industry trends and standards.
  • To work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless programme delivery and student progression.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with college policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Performing Arts, Education, or related area).
  • Proven experience in leading and managing educational programmes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, students, and industry partners.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
