Full time - Open ended

The successful applicant will be based at Hammersmith in the Cardiac Function Section, NHLI, where they will be expected to develop their own research program at the intersection between the experimental and artificial intelligence areas of electrophysiology.

They will be expected to drive this exciting new area of research and foster its growth in College by leading the NHLI Human Heart Tissue Programme.

You will develop a broad range of research within the field of human heart electrophysiology and AI, fostering national and international scientific collaborations with other world-leading centres.

You will teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, demonstrating excellent leadership skills with regards to individual performance, academic teams, the NHLI, Faculty, College, clinical teams, and when participating in national/international initiatives.

Key Requirements:

  • PhD or equivalent in human heart electrophysiology.
  • Experience studying human cardiac tissue, especially whole organ and multicellular systems.
  • Experience of Training Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
  • Experience in managing, developing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses and modules.
