Academic Researcher

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic to join our Faculty of Infectious and Tropical Diseases as a Professor or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of research and teaching, and will be able to contribute to the development of our research strategy and academic programs.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct high-quality research in infectious diseases and tropical medicine, with a focus on clinical research relevant to low- and middle-income countries.
- Teach and supervise students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and contribute to the development of our academic programs.
- Develop and lead research projects, and secure funding from external sources.
- Contribute to the development of our research strategy and academic programs, and participate in departmental and faculty meetings.
- PhD in a relevant field, and a strong track record of research and teaching.
- Experience of conducting research in infectious diseases and tropical medicine, with a focus on clinical research relevant to low- and middle-income countries.
- Ability to secure funding from external sources, and to lead research projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
