We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mental Health Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated therapy team in Greenwich. This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals with neurological and mental health needs, as well as learning disabilities.

The salary for this position is approximately £51,000-£54,000 per annum, based on experience.

Job Description:

This is a challenging yet rewarding role, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and support to patients. As a Specialist OT, you will apply complex clinical reasoning in assessment, rehabilitation, and discharge planning, managing your own caseload across both wards.

  • Work collaboratively with the MDT to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement effective interventions to promote patient independence and autonomy.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to enhance their understanding of neurorehabilitation principles and practices.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress and plan future interventions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new services and programs.
  • Engage in professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a neurorehabilitation setting, with a strong understanding of neurorehabilitation principles and practices. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
