Job Title: Microsoft Pre-sales Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled technical sales engineer to join our team at Arthur Rose Recruitment Ltd. As a key point of contact for clients, you will be responsible for providing technical advice, demonstrating product knowledge, and helping to establish new business sales and contacts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow up on leads generated by the sales team and manager to establish new business sales and contacts.
  • Assist the sales team and manager on site visits, requiring travel within the role.
  • Liaise with existing clients to offer further solutions and provide pre-sales and post-sales support.
  • Prepare proposals and quotations in a timely manner and keep clients informed of any delays.
  • Review the cost of parts sold and manufactured by the company.
  • Write reports and sales literature to support the sales team.
  • Train other members of the sales team in the use of products and services.
  • Attend trade exhibitions, conferences, and client meetings to promote the company's products and services.
  • Meet sales targets as specified by the sales manager.
Requirements:
  • Strong engineering and technical skills background, with the ability to read technical drawings and measure parts.
  • Research and analytical skills to support the sales team.
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical information clearly and listen to client feedback.
  • The ability to negotiate with and influence others to achieve sales targets.
  • Teamworking skills to support the sales team and manager.
  • Commercial awareness to understand the company's products and services.
  • Computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience of using purchasing software, with Sage being desirable but training will be given if needed.

A full driving licence is required for this role.

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 DOE, with an annual bonus and car.
