Job Opportunity

We are seeking an Embedded Systems Expert to join our team in Neath. As part of Marston Holdings, we have grown significantly through the acquisition of Videalert and Vortex.

Our company provides intelligent traffic enforcement and management solutions, as well as smart city solutions that offer high productivity at low operational costs.

  • Researching electronic components, electro-mechanical devices, RF systems, and embedded microcontroller devices.
  • Investigating failures and bugs in our devices and participating in root cause analysis exercises to develop fixes.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
  • Experience with developing firmware for microcontroller devices, such as Atmel, Microchip, Silicon Labs, Nordic Semiconductor, Espressif, and ARM-based platforms in bare metal and RTOS environments using C/C++.
  • Familiarity with computer networks, communication protocols, network configuration with Windows and Linux platforms, and low-power RF networks such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, Thread, etc.
  • Experience with OpenThread and working with open-source code bases on Linux environments like Ubuntu is desirable.
  • A clear understanding of computer communication networks, IP v4/v6, CoAP, UDP, TCP, and relevant network diagnostics would be desirable.
