Eakin Healthcare Group is a leading provider of innovative medical devices, and we are currently seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Hardware Development Specialist to join our team in Coleraine.

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 per annum, plus benefits, for this exciting opportunity to design, develop, and test cutting-edge electromedical devices. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with customer complaints and implement corrective actions to resolve issues.
    • Maintain calibration schedules for testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
    • Conduct analyses to identify root causes of failures and recommend preventive measures.
    • Apply finite element analysis techniques to assess product designs and performance.
  • Documentation and Quality Management
    • Input into developing medical device labeling, user manuals, technical reports, and other documentation as needed.
    • Collaborate with suppliers and internal colleagues to ensure that product and process quality requirements are satisfied.
    • Coordinate and oversee external testing activities.
  • Professional Development and Support
    • Participate in and prepare for internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
    • Provide customer support through field visits and technical assistance.
    • Conduct training sessions for staff members and cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience
    • Educated to degree level in electronics or mechatronics.
    • Previous experience working within an electronics development team.
    • Significant experience of 'hands-on' electronics product development.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Prior experience working with medical device electronics.
    • Prior experience of working within a QMS system when developing electronics.
    • Significant experience of testing and fault-finding electronics products including PCBs.
