As a Senior Tendering and Contracts Engineer at aaa | consulting, you will play a critical role in managing the tendering and contract execution process for tubular steel products. This position focuses on OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) for markets including oil & gas, geothermal, and carbon capture & storage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the tendering process for energy steels business activity, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Develop winning strategies to secure project tenders, including price, cost, and supply chain selection.
- Conduct thorough contract reviews and manage tender negotiation processes to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Secure project orders or follow up on losses, providing clear reasoning and recommendations.
- Deliver successful contracts, including project documentation, logistics management, and supply chain contract management.
- Close out contracts within budget, on time, and in accordance with contract requirements.
- Manage credit applications and payment schedules in accordance with company accounting practices and procedures.
- Lead on supply chain projects across multiple regions and suppliers, driving business growth and development.
- Deliver on company and business unit objectives, with a strong focus on quality, HSE, and sustainability.
- Conduct tender tactics meetings, contract kick-off meetings, and pred-production meetings to ensure effective project execution.
- Attend customer meetings as necessary, building strong relationships and driving business growth.
- Some global travel may be required for internal and external meetings.
- Develop long-term supply chain strategies in collaboration with colleagues from the Energy Transition Department.
- Explore third-party supply chain options to drive business growth and development.
- Handle pre-qualification processes as necessary, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Perform other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the Global Steel Industry.
- Experience working with Integrated Energy Companies.
- Experience in holding client meetings on a face-to-face basis.
- Experience working with people from different countries and cultures.
- Experience of tendering and contract management.
- Degree, MSC, or extensive experience in Energy tendering and contract execution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with major oilfield operators.
- Knowledge of offshore oil and gas industry.
- Knowledge of Tubular Supply Chain.
- Knowledge of OCTG products.
- CBAM.
- ETS.
- Decarbonization Technologies.
