At GenesisCare, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Dosimetrist to join our team in Cambridge, CB8 area. As a Senior Dosimetrist, you will be responsible for the treatment planning pathway at the local centre, supervising and assisting with all aspects of patient dosimetry and treatment planning for patients on site and at other GenesisCare centres.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take overall responsibility for the treatment planning service at their centre, working closely with the local Lead Physicist and Centre Leader/Lead Radiographer.
  • Supervise the work of other dosimetrists in their centre as appropriate.
  • Liaise with their cluster GCUK sites and the wider network to coordinate treatment planning activities and ensure all patients follow the most efficient pathway.
  • Manage the delivery of the patient dosimetry and treatment planning service on site to ensure all plans and patient dosimetry tasks are completed on time.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years' experience in Dosimetry.
  • Specialist knowledge of treatment planning and radiation dosimetry applied to radiotherapy treatment.
  • Specialist training in treatment planning techniques, e.g. IMRT or SABR.
  • Specialist knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Aware of relevant legislation, national standards, professional and other guidelines, e.g. IR(ME)R.
  • High level of IT skills.
  • Able to communicate complex information across professional boundaries.

Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Have one of the following: BSc Radiotherapy, BSc Clinical Technology, HNC MPPM, Diploma in Radiotherapy or a suitable Graduate qualification.
  • Be eligible to be either HCPC Registered Radiographer or on Clinical Register of Technologists.
  • Further qualifications, such as an MSc related to Radiotherapy, are desirable.
