Child Welfare Manager

Sheffield City Council HQ is seeking a highly skilled Child Welfare Manager to oversee the daily operations of its Youth Justice Service in Sheffield.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of child welfare and a proven track record in managing teams and developing strategies to prevent offending among children.
As a key member of the council's leadership team, you will be responsible for supervising Team Managers and ensuring that effective systems are in place regarding resource deployment, performance management, and strategic planning.
You will work closely with multi-agency professionals from Children's Services, Police, Probation, Education, and the Health Service to develop and implement initiatives that support vulnerable children and their families.
We offer a competitive salary of £43,877 - £50,145 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a generous holiday entitlement and opportunities for flexible working.
The successful candidate will have excellent skills in engaging and building relationships with staff and partners across the city. You will provide formal and informal supervision to staff, driving improvement and supporting them to achieve the best possible outcomes for children.
