Job Title: Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team, responsible for managing long and medium-term contracts post-order within the division. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the water industry, with a proven track record of project managing multiple contracts from receipt of order to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and schedule work content through various stages of design engineering, manufacture, procurement, construction, commissioning, and take-over.
  2. Control and monitor financial budgets to maintain or improve profit margins, forecasting regularly to ensure timely completion and sales/cost of sales for each contract.
  3. Take corrective action to maintain time for completion and recover over-expenditure.
  4. Interface directly with clients and the company on all matters influencing contractual obligations.
  5. Prepare requisitions and issue purchase orders within financial authority levels.
  6. Agree variations/claims/extensions of time with clients in line with contract conditions and approved levels.
  7. Raise invoices/applications for payment to be paid by clients.
  8. Agree final accounts for each contract and secure certification necessary under the contract.
  9. Prepare or have prepared documentation and O&M manuals called for under the scope of works.
  10. Work closely with installation and commissioning personnel to ensure adequate resourcing to meet the programme of work.
  11. Attend regular client meetings and site visits as dictated by specific circumstances.
  12. Maintain a high level of respect from clients in terms of professional project management and integrity, projecting a high standard of performance for the company.
  13. Exercise powers of the company and its obligations in respect of current CDM Regulations.
  14. Act as central coordinating function of the company team appointed to execute the contract.
  15. Be proactive in ensuring the company's engineering function is fully conversant with specifications applicable to the contract, clarifying where any doubt exists.
  16. Ensure timely arrangement for all commercial facets of the contract, including insurances/bonds/guarantees/shipping documents.
  17. Prepare and negotiate sub-contracts for key elements of the contract.
  18. Support members of the project team in the delivery of projects and tasks.
  19. Perform duties in accordance with all relevant legislation, particularly the Health and Safety at Work Act, and apply requirements of ISO45001.
  20. Apply requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 and 14001 as appropriate within areas of responsibility.
  21. Other duties which the company may reasonably require the individual to undertake.
