We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing long and medium-term contracts, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and schedule project work content through various stages of design, engineering, manufacture, procurement, construction, commissioning, and take-over.
- Control and monitor financial budgets, maintaining or improving profit margins, and forecasting project outcomes.
- Take corrective action to maintain project timelines and recover over-expenditure.
- Interface directly with clients and the company on contractual obligations.
- Prepare requisitions and issue purchase orders within financial authority levels.
- Agree variations, claims, and extensions of time with clients in line with contract conditions.
- Raise invoices and applications for payment.
- Agree final accounts and secure certification necessary under the contract.
- Prepare documentation and O&M manuals called for under the scope of works.
- Work closely with installation and commissioning personnel to ensure adequate resource allocation.
- Attend regular client meetings and site visits.
- Maintain a high level of respect from clients, projecting a high standard of performance for the company.
- Exercise powers of the company and its obligations under CDM Regulations.
- Act as the central coordinating function of the company team appointed to execute the contract.
- Ensure timely arrangement for commercial facets of the contract, including insurances, bonds, guarantees, and shipping documents.
- Negotiate and issue sub-contracts for key elements of the contract.
- Support project team members in delivering projects and tasks.
- Perform duties in accordance with relevant legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act and ISO45001.
- Apply requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 and 14001 as appropriate within areas of responsibility.
