Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Radiological Safety Consultant to join our team at the National Nuclear Laboratory. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a leadership role in ensuring the safety of our operations and projects.

About the Role

This position will involve providing expert advice on radiological safety assessments, leading technical delivery teams, and collaborating with multidisciplinary groups to address complex safety challenges. You will have extensive experience in producing radiological safety assessments across various projects and possess excellent knowledge in the specialized field of radiological safety assessment.

Responsibilities
  • Providing expert knowledge of radiological safety assessments and staying up-to-date with developments in methodology and approach.
  • Leading technical delivery of radiological safety assessments and developing new capabilities through innovative approaches.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to address safety challenges and supporting the development of junior colleagues.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in production of Radiological safety assessments across a variety of projects.
  • Excellent level of knowledge in the specialised field of Radiological safety assessment.
  • Able to obtain SC level security clearance.
Benefits
  • Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on location and experience).
