Radiation Protection Specialist

Radiation Protection Advisor at Springfields Fuels Ltd is a challenging role that requires an expert professional with a passion for radiation safety. Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement effective radiation protection strategies.
2. Provide guidance on radiological risk assessments, taking into account operational requirements and regulatory standards.
3. Conduct thorough reviews of data to draw conclusions and inform recommendations.
4. Prepare detailed reports on performance metrics and incidents.
5. Advise on instrument selection and qualification for safe operation in nuclear environments.
6. Develop and deliver training programs on radiation safety best practices.
7. Communicate complex radiological risks and mitigation strategies to business stakeholders.
Requirements
1. RPA2000 Certification as RPA or Health Physicist with up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation.
2. A STEM-related degree (Level 6) and expertise in Microsoft Office applications, including cloud-based systems.
3. Proven experience working as a Health Physicist in the nuclear industry, with in-depth knowledge of instrumentation and environmental permitting regulations.
4. Familiarity with radioactive waste management and/or RWA certification.

2. Strong analytical skills, with excellent ability to interpret and analyze complex data.
