About the Role

As a Biomedical Scientist at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust, you will be part of a dynamic team working on cutting-edge research and patient care.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Biomedical Specialist in Orthopaedic Research. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies, including digital dictation systems, tissue banks, and histopathology reports.

Your key responsibilities will include dissecting surgical specimens, selecting areas of tissue for sampling, and maintaining highly developed skills in dissection and examination of bone and soft tissue surgical specimens.

You will also be responsible for ensuring all specimens for decalcification are monitored regularly and processed as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a BSc degree or equivalent in biological/biomedical sciences or a related subject to take their career to the next level.

The salary for this position is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
