Assistant Store Manager Job Description

This role is an excellent opportunity to progress in store management and contribute to the success of our Lewisham Home Store team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the store and take full responsibility in their absence.
  • Inspire and support staff and volunteers to deliver an excellent customer journey that reflects our values.
  • Contribute to achieving targets, maintaining a high standard of visual merchandising, and maximising sales through physical and digital channels.
  • Support with the recruitment and development of volunteers and achieve expectations within campaign activities.
  • Work with the manager to generate stock and maintain a high standard of customer service.

This is a full-time 37.5 hours per week position on a permanent contract. We require flexibility from our store teams to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

  • Experience in a customer-facing role and supervisory experience.
  • Commercially driven to encourage new ideas and an inclusive approach to developing teams.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and achieving the highest retail standards.
  • Results-driven but with a recognition of the right result, right way.
