About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Sport Assistant to join our team at Northumbria University. As a Sport Assistant, you will be responsible for the daily operation of Coach Lane Sports Ground, ensuring a welcoming, safe, and outstanding experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operation of sports facilities, including equipment maintenance and inventory management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the Duty Manager and other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement programs to promote customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for customers and staff.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A good understanding of customer service principles and practices.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The initiative to solve problems and think critically.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing environment, preferably in a sports or recreation setting.
