About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sport Assistant to join our team at Northumbria University. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of Coach Lane Sports Ground, providing an exceptional experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operation of the sports ground, including facilities maintenance and customer service.
  • Deliver a welcoming, safe, and outstanding experience for our customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Work collaboratively with the Duty Manager and other team members to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a good knowledge of Northumbria Sport's programmed activities and services.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A good understanding of customer service principles and practices.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The initiative to solve problems of a practical nature.
  • Experience of working in a dry sports environment.
