About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Biomedical Scientist to join our Department of Clinical Parasitology in Central London. As a Specialist Biomedical Scientist, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality parasitology service, working closely with our team to provide expert diagnosis and identification of human parasites and the diseases they cause.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in Parasitology and a strong background in Biomedical Science. You will have the opportunity to rotate around our serology, microscopy, and molecular sections, gaining expertise in a diverse range of diagnostic techniques and directly observing parasites rarely seen outside of tropical locations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver high-quality parasitology services, working closely with our team to provide expert diagnosis and identification of human parasites and the diseases they cause.
* Rotate around our serology, microscopy, and molecular sections, gaining expertise in a diverse range of diagnostic techniques and directly observing parasites rarely seen outside of tropical locations.
* Collaborate with our team to develop and evaluate new parasite diagnostic techniques, using our extensive archive of diagnostic specimens to inform our work.
* Provide training and support to colleagues, sharing your knowledge and expertise to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

Requirements:

* HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
* A strong background in Biomedical Science, with a genuine interest in Parasitology.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, with a focus on safety, quality, and patient satisfaction.
