Cybersecurity Architect for High-Performance Networks

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Architect to join Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring the robustness and efficiency of our network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity design, architecture, and security protocols, with a strong background in Cisco technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Cybersecurity Design and Architecture:
  1. Assess our network infrastructure and identify areas for improvement or optimization.
  2. Design, develop, and document cybersecurity architecture blueprints, including high-level and low-level network designs.
  3. Define cybersecurity standards, protocols, and guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability.
  4. Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into cybersecurity designs.
Cybersecurity Solution Development:
  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, security professionals, and software developers, to develop comprehensive cybersecurity solutions.
  2. Define technical requirements, specifications, and standards for network equipment, protocols, and services.
  3. Conduct proof-of-concept testing and evaluate the feasibility and performance of proposed cybersecurity solutions.
  4. Design and configure network components, such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points, to meet functional and performance requirements.
Cybersecurity Compliance:
  1. Collaborate with security teams to integrate compliance controls and mechanisms into cybersecurity designs.
  2. Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  3. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to cybersecurity.
  4. Stay updated on the latest security threats and technologies to proactively address cybersecurity concerns.
