About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities and Hygiene Manager to join our team at Abel & Cole. As a key member of our Site Services team, you will be responsible for delivering effective facilities maintenance, projects, and hygiene support across our Andover sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Site Services team to ensure seamless operations and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • Deputise for the Site Services Manager in their absence.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including LOLER and PUWER.
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practice (GXP) standards, specifically cGMP.
  • Implement a cost-effective and compliant facilities maintenance plan, including condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.
  • Develop and implement a hygiene program across all Andover sites, ensuring strict contractor control.
  • Manage the day-to-day facilities and hygiene budget.
  • Develop and implement a training and development program for all staff.
Requirements
  • Maintenance or facilities background, preferably with a C&G apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Project management experience, preferably with Prince 2 Foundation/Practitioner/APM certification.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to mitigate hazards.
  • Good understanding of statutory and regulatory compliance, including LOLER and PUWER regulations.
  • Experience of working within and leading a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised and able to multi-task and prioritise.
  • Proven supervisory or management experience within a facilities or hygiene environment.
