About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at W Edinburgh. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests, employees, and property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol all areas of the property to prevent and detect potential security threats
  • Assist guests with room access and respond to emergencies in a timely and professional manner
  • Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and fire life safety systems to ensure the property is secure
  • Conduct daily physical hazard inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks
  • Respond to accidents, contact emergency services as needed, and administer first aid/CPR if required
  • Assist guests and employees during emergency situations and notify relevant personnel
  • Complete incident reports to document all security-related incidents
  • Escort unwelcome individuals from the property and maintain confidentiality of all security reports
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence, including interviews with relevant parties
Requirements
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and inspire confidence in others
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills
  • Sophisticated communication skills and previous experience working in luxury hotels
  • A positive mindset and genuine passion for working in hospitality
