About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Ecologist or Senior Ecologist to join our team at FPCR Environment and Design Limited. As a key member of our ecology team, you will play a pivotal role in leading and delivering high-quality ecological assessments, surveys, and mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver ecological assessments, surveys, and mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with our team of ecologists, landscape architects, and environmental planners
  • Manage and deliver ecological projects, meeting deadlines and exceeding client expectations
  • Conduct surveys, assessments, and prepare ecological reports
  • Provide technical advice to clients on biodiversity and ecological matters
  • Advise clients on Biodiversity Net Gain and DEFRA Statutory Biodiversity Metric
  • Develop and implement ecological strategies and plans
Requirements
  • Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Proven track record in managing and delivering ecological projects
  • Strong knowledge of UK ecology legislation, guidelines, and best practice
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in advising clients on biodiversity and ecological matters
  • Membership or eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body
  • Full UK driving licence and access to vehicle
